Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mostafa, Professor of Hepatogastroentrology and Former Vice President of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute has received the following: • Master Endoscopic Award, the highest distinction in gastrointestinal endoscopy, presented by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the world's largest professional society dedicated to gastrointestinal endoscopy, in 2013 and 2023.

Prof. Ahmed El-Raie, Professor of Endemic Diseases, and Hepatogastroenterology, was awarded the French Order of Academic Palms with the rank of Knight (Chevalier).

Prof. Dr. Sanaa Sabet Botros, Professor of Pharmacology received The State Incentive Award in Medical Sciences (Basic – Pharmacology) from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt in1997, and she received The State Appreciation Award in Advanced Technological Sciences Serving Medical Sciences from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt in 2015. ·       

Prof. Dr. Hanan Farouk Saad Khafagy, Former Director of the Institute and Professor of Anesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care received The State Encouragement Award in 2007, and she was honored by the Egyptian Medical Syndicate in 2009.
