Journal of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute for Medical Sciences (JTBRIMS) Receives Highest Rating Among Egyptian Journals
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Acting Director and Chairman of the Board of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, announced that the Journal of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute for Medical Sciences has recently received a rating of 7 in the Supreme Council of Universities' rating system, meaning it has achieved the highest possible score for Egyptian peer-reviewed journals.
He explained that achieving this important milestone is a result of the Institute's commitment to publishing successive issues of the journal on schedule, facilitating the publication process, and providing full support and encouragement to research staff members to publish their scientific work in the journal. He also commended the active role of all members of the journal's editorial board, especially Dr. Safia Samir, for her dedicated efforts since the journal's launch in collaboration with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank in March 2026, the publication of the first issue in April 2026, and the second issue in June 2026.
It is worth noting that the Institute's journal receiving this rating, which is the highest rating for local Egyptian journals, means that the journal is accredited and evaluated by the promotion committees of the Supreme Council of Universities, and that publication in it counts towards the promotions of research staff members.
The journal has an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN 3138-5818), and publication in it is characterized by its speed, free access, and open access.
The next issue will be published in September 2026, God willing.
