Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mostafa, Professor of Hepatogastroentrology and Former Vice President of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute has received the following: 

1- International Awards

• Master Endoscopic Award, the highest distinction in gastrointestinal endoscopy, presented by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the world's largest professional society dedicated to gastrointestinal endoscopy, in 2013 and 2023.

• Awarded Honorary Membership of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) in 2004, appointed as an ASGE Ambassador for Training in 2010, and received the Humanitarian Service Award in 2012.

2-State Awards

• Egypt State Appreciation Award in Medical Sciences (2013), the highest national honor in Egypt recognizing his outstanding medical and scientific achievements, including his pioneering research and the establishment of distinguished scientific schools in Egypt, the Arab region, and Africa.

• Egypt State Merit Award in Medical Sciences (2012), followed by the First-Class Medal of Science and Arts (2014), awarded by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
