The opening of a new cystoscopy unit in TBRI      Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, the flexible cystoscopy unit affiliated with the Urology Department, headed by Prof. Mohamed Hussein Badawy, was inaugurated. This new step aims to enhance the efficiency of medical services provided to patients, especially in the field of early diagnosis and treatment of bladder tumors. 

In a move to strengthen collaborative ties between research and medical institutions, Prof. Ahmed Abdelaziz, Acting Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, welcomed Prof. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University and Chairman of its Hospitals’ Board of Directors, during a cordial visit. Dr. Hegazy extended his congratulations to Dr. Abdelaziz on his appointment as Acting Director of the Institute, conveying sincere wishes for his continued success and prosperity. 

Within the framework of the fruitful cooperation agreement between Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and Galala University, the Institute, headed by Prof. Ahmed Abd El Aziz, director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and chairman of the board of directors, received a batch of students from the Faculty of Nursing at Galala University for practical training in various clinical departments at the Institute.

As part of strengthening scientific and research collaboration, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) received a high-level delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) to discuss avenues for joint cooperation in line with the accreditation criteria of the Immunology Division and the evaluation of the institute’s treatment protocols as a WHO Collaborating Center for Schistosomiasis Control.

In a celebratory atmosphere filled with pride and appreciation, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute hosted the honoring ceremony for top students who won the nursing schools and institutes competition organized by the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza. The event was attended by senior officials from the health and education sectors of the Ministry of Health and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza.
