The General Surgery Department at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) has successfully organized the first-of-its-kind Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernioplasty Hands-On Bootcamp in Egypt and the Middle East, held as part of the Theodor Surgical Bootcamp from January 18 to 20 and January 27, 2026.

TBRI aligns with national trends by holding a specialized workshop on research evaluation and institutional planning in support of the sustainable development strategy.

As part of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute's leading role in supporting the scientific research system, enhancing institutional performance, and promoting alignment with national and international sustainable development goals, the Institute organized a specialized workshop on the current status of international rankings and program and performance budgeting indicators. The workshop was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and Chairman of the Board, and with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists in research evaluation and strategic management.
