 Immunology Laboratory Training Program

Training Modules

Module 1: ELISA Techniques

• Principles and various applications of ELISA.

• Types of ELISA assays: Direct, Indirect, Sandwich, and Competitive.

• Reagent preparation and plate setup.

• Sample processing and hands-on assay performance.

• Data analysis and interpretation of results.

Module 2: Autoimmune Disease Testing

• Introduction to autoimmune diseases and their diagnostic significance.

• Hands-on training in ANA, Anti-dsDNA, ENA Profile, ANCA, and RF testing.

• Principles of immunological serology.

• Quality control procedures and laboratory result evaluation.

• Interpretation of laboratory findings and clinical correlation.

Module 3: Immunofluorescence Techniques

• Fundamentals and applications of immunofluorescence.

• Direct and indirect immunofluorescence techniques.

• Slide preparation and sample staining.

• Practical training on fluorescence microscopy.

• Recognition and interpretation of different staining patterns.

Module 4: Molecular Immunology

• Introduction to molecular immunology and its applications.

• DNA and RNA extraction techniques.

• Hands-on training in conventional PCR and Real-Time PCR.

• Molecular biomarkers in immune-related diseases.

• Molecular data analysis and interpretation.

Module 5: Biobank Training

• Introduction to biobanking and its importance in biomedical research.

• Collection, processing, and preservation of biological specimens.

• Biobank sample management and documentation.

• Quality assurance and biosafety procedures.

• Ethical and regulatory considerations in biobanking.
